The Chambers China Awards for Excellence 2013 - February 28th, Beijing

The Chambers China Awards for Excellence honours national and international law firms on the basis of our research for Chambers Asia Pacific. The awards recognise law firms' pre-eminence in key practice areas. They also reflect notable achievements over the past 12 months, including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.

  • The Chambers China Awards 2012 were held on February 23rd at the China World Hotel in Beijing.
  • 250 guests attended the event, which honoured the achievements of PRC and international firms operating in Greater China.
  • King & Wood Mallesons won the award for PRC Banking & Finance Firm of the Year. Li Jinnan collected the award on behalf of the firm.
  • Tim Wang and his colleagues accepted the Banking & Finance International Firm of the Year award for Clifford Chance.
  • Liu Shen & Associates is PRC Intellectual Property Firm of the Year. Ge Qing accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
  • John Ren and his team accepted the Competition/Antitrust PRC Firm of the Year award on behalf of T&D Associates.
  • The Competition/Antitrust International Firm of the Year award went to Freshfields. Michael Han picked up the award.
  • Kevin Gao and his colleagues represented TransAsia Lawyers, the firm which was awarded Technology, Media, Telecoms PRC Firm of the Year.
  • Paul Weiss picked up the Technology, Media, Telecoms International Firm of the Year award. Greg Liu and Wei Chen represented the team.
  • Scott Palmer and his team represented Baker & McKenzie, which won the Tax International Firm of the Year award.
  • Zhong Lun won the International Trade PRC Firm of the Year award. The firm was represented by Zhu Maoyuan and Robert Lewis.
  • The Boutique PRC Law Firm of the Year award went to Han Kun. Eric Liu picked up the award.
  • Teresa Ma of Linklaters is honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to the Legal Profession award.
  • Zheng Xilin accepted the Energy & Natural Resources PRC Firm of the Year award on behalf of Grandall.
  • Xiao Yong and Paul Deemer from Vinson & Elkins, the Energy & Natural Resources International Firm of the Year.
  • Cao Shan represented City Development Law Firm, the winner of the PRC Construction Firm of the Year.
  • Pinsent Masons is hounoured as Construction International Firm of the Year. Hew Kian Heong accepted the award.
  • Jun Hu received the Restructuring/Insolvency PRC Firm of the Year award on behalf of Fangda.
  • Song Dihuang accepted the first of two awards for Wang Jing & Co that evening. This award is for the Shipping PRC Firm of the Year category.
  • Linklaters won the Securitisation, Derivatives & Structured Products International Firm of the Year award. The firm was represented by Fann Jing.
  • Sue Liu and Bao Zhi from FenXun Partners, the Investment Funds PRC Firm of the Year.
  • Andrew Ostrognai and the team at Debevoise celebrated its success in the Investment Funds International Firm of the Year category.
  • Zhong Lun is hounoured as Real Estate PRC Firm of the Year. Zhu Maoyuan and his team accepted the award.
  • Jack McDouall of Mayer Brown JSM picked up the award for Real Estate International Firm of the Year.
  • Jun He won the award for PRC Projects & Infrastructure Firm of the Year. Audrey Chen collected the award on behalf of the firm.
  • Sean Wang received the Projects & Infrastructure International Firm of the Year award on behalf of White & Case.
  • Cheng Shoutai accepted the Regional PRC Law Firm of the Year award for Tahota Law Firm.
  • Jun He picking up its second award for the evening, the Corporate/M&A PRC Firm of the Year award. collected the award on behalf of the firm.
  • The second of Freshfields' awards, this time for the Corporate/M&A International Firm of the Year category. Michael Han accepted the award.
  • Xiong Jin and his colleagues collected the Employment PRC Firm of the Year award on behalf of King & Wood Mallesons.
  • Baker & McKenzie is hounoured as Employment International Firm of the Year. Scott Palmer accepted the award.
  • Wang Ye and the team from King & Wood Mallesons picked up its third award for the evening, the Dispute Resolution PRC Firm of the Year award.
  • Song Dihuang accepted second award for Wang Jing & Co, the award for Insurance PRC Firm of the Year.
  • Carrie Yang picked up the Insurance International Firm of the Year award on behalf of Clyde & Co.
  • The team at Fangda Partners celebrated winning the Private Equity PRC Firm of the Year award.
  • Weil Gotshall is represented by Steve Xiang and Li Wenfeng to receive the Private Equity International Firm of the Year award.
  • Haiwen & Partners is hounoured as Capital Markets: Debt & Equity PRC Firm of the Year. Wang Jiangyong and Bian Hao accepted the award.
