Overview

Our Latin America guide celebrates its fifth anniversary, expanding on last year's edition to conduct over 10,000 interviews with lawyers and clients in order to identify leading lawyers and law firms in the region. Our reputation for excellence is based on the independence and objectivity of our research: no-one can buy their way into our rankings.

We are pleased to bring you the results of this year's research. Our search facility above enables you to search by country, law firm, lawyer name, or practice area. We also have an 'Explanation of Rankings' should you require more information.

In addition to the 'country' listings, the new edition features several 'Latin America-wide' listings detailing firms and lawyers with practices spanning the continent; there is also a 'Central America-wide' listing. For Brazil, we have added regional tables designed to reflect the diversification of professional activity beyond Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Key practice areas have been added to several countries, while we have ranked many new firms and lawyers in existing practice areas.
