Profile
Specialisation: Partner in the Pension and Employment Team. He advises trustees, employers, public bodies and intermediaries on all areas of the law relating to occupational and personal pension as well as on the pensions aspects of multi-jurisdictional and UK private acquisitions and disposals, IPOs (including AIM), demergers, outsourcings, PPP and PFI projects and public sector pension schemes. He carries out strategic reviews of employers' pension arrangements and advises on the implementation of new schemes and benefit structures including the closure and winding-up of occupational pension schemes. He also advises on disputes relating to occupational pension schemes including complaints to the Pensions Ombudsman and on High Court litigation including claims against advisers. He is the author of the pensions chapter in A Practitioner's Guide to Private Equity, writes a column for Pensions Week and is a commentator on pensions issues in the national and pensions press.
