Specialisation: Partner and Business Head of Family Department. Advises on all aspects of divorce and separation. Has particular expertise in: complex disputes about contact or residence of children; substantial asset divorce cases; Schedule 1 financial claims in relation to the children of unmarried parents and disputes between cohabitants and registered civil partners. She also advises on Pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements. Jane was one of the country's first trained collaborative lawyers.

Career: Qualified 1982. Joined Manches 1988, Partner since 1992. National Chairman of Resolution (formerly The Solicitors' Family Law Association) March 2001-03. Chair of Resolution's Cohabitation Committee March 2003-March 2006. Member of The Law Commission's Cohabitation Project Legal Advisory Group. Jane is the Private Law Solicitor Member of The Family Justice Council and chairs its Children in Families Sub-committee. She is also a member of the F.J.C. Money and Property Committee.

Publications: Former contributing joint editor of 'Cohabitation: Law and Precedents' published by Sweet & Maxwell; frequent contributor to legal journals. Numerous radio and TV appearances and regularly quoted in the press.

Personal: Born 18 March 1957 in Bermuda. Attended school in London. Law Degree Southampton University 1979. Married with a secondary school age daughter.
