Specialisation: Specialises in claimant personal injury work, including employer liability, accident and industrial disease litigation. Predominantly does asbestos disease claims. Works closely with asbestos support groups and has been a speaker at conferences organised by support groups and medico-legal societies. A co-opted member of a sub-committee that drafted a protocol for terminal illness disease claims in Liverpool County Court. Based in the Liverpool office, which received an award in 2007 of Specialist Law Firm of the Year from Liverpool Law Society. The award was in recognition of the firm's efforts to assist local asbestos sufferers, particulalrly following success in a test case concerning dock workers (Rice and Thompson v Secretary of State for Trade and Industry). In 2009 the firm was recognised as Personal Injury Team of the Year by Liverpool Law Society.

Career: LLB Hons (First Class), Northumbria University. Qualified and joined John Pickering and Partners in 1999. Became a Partner in 2002.
