Practice Areas: Ian is a leading expert on European infrastructure deals having advised on most of the closed Austrian, Hungarian, Greek, Slovak and Turkish concession deals and port, airport and energy utility acquisition financings in almost every country in Europe. With almost 20 years of experience, his most notable recent closed deals include advising the successful bidders on their £2.1 billion purchase of HS1 (the Channel Tunnel Rail Link) and of Endesa Gas in Spain, as well as on the financing of Iskenderun port in Turkey and the refinancing Peel Ports in the UK.
