Chambers & Partners website has been built to meet as many Priority 1 and 2, and Priority 3 checkpoints [Level A, AA and AAA] as possible, as described in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 1 (WCAG1). The site has been checked with Watchfire Bobby.
The site does not comply with 2 WAI checkpoints: 10.2 [our drop downs do not have labels - we feel the drop downs are wide enough on their own to not require a label] and 10.4 [we feel the benefit of this default text outweighs the effort to clear it out of input fields].
'Access keys' are a quick way to navigate to an important page by using a keyboard instead of a mouse. Chambers & Partners site uses the UK Government's recommendations for access keys.
The following keys are available on every page:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4+, press the 'ALT' key and the access key at the same time, and then press 'Return'. Firefox or Netscape, simply press the 'ALT' key and the access key at the same time.
This site has been built to support scaling text sizes for users who need to view this website in different text sizes, via your browsers interface.
